Build the data infrastructure behind Europe’s largest multimodal logistics network!

How will you make an impact?

We are looking for a Data Engineer with 3–5 years of experience who is technically strong, designs solutions independently, and is energized by building scalable data solutions in a continuously evolving cloud environment. Our pipelines process millions of logistics transactions per day, and our architecture scales across 14 countries.

At Ewals Cargo Care, a family business and logistics innovator for over 100 years, you won’t work on standard reporting, but on solutions that form the analytical foundation of one of Europe’s largest multimodal transport networks.

What will you do?

As a Data Engineer, you will:

  • Design and optimize data pipelines and transformations within our Snowflake data warehouse
  • Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes using tools such as Qlik Replicate and Qlik Compose
  • Build high-performance datasets and data models that enable organization-wide reporting and analysis
  • Create dashboards and interactive analyses in Power BI and Snowflake Notebooks for various stakeholders
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, performance, and scalability
  • Translate business questions into technical solutions, from initial discussion to working result
  • Advise colleagues and key users on effective reporting and KPI strategies
  • Contribute to the further development of our data architecture and team best practices

Who are we looking for?

  • At least 3 years of experience in a data engineering role
  • Strong SQL skills and experience building data transformations
  • Experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake or Databricks), or a proven ability to learn this quickly
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT tooling and data pipeline design
  • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI (DAX/Power Query)
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level, combining technical depth with a pragmatic approach
  • Ability to easily switch between tech and business, understanding stakeholder needs and how to implement them technically
  • Clear communication skills in English
  • You recognize yourself in: taking ownership, solving problems, working with quality awareness, and sharing knowledge with colleagues

We care: what you get

We are offering a challenging full time position and the opportunity to grow with us. You will have a role with varied responsibilities, working in an informal and collegial atmosphere.

In addition to our financial working conditions, we have some benefits such as meal vouchers, private medical services, 13th salary, training opportunities and a proactive and friendly staff association.

At Ewals Cargo Care, we foster personal growth through the Ewals Academy and embrace an international, entrepreneurial culture that encourages innovation. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to inspiring and impactful projects that truly make a difference.
