**Key Qualifications:**
*Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a welder/ ironworker. (Other candidates may be considered but an extensive portfolio will need to be shared of completed jobs).
* CWB ticket a MUST (Apprentice welders can apply)
* Must reside in Alberta (preference will be given to candidates living in the greater Calgary area).
* Must have a valid Driver's License and an active mobile phone with data.
* Must be capable of physical work, including the operation of a variety of power tools, lifting 25 kg on a regular basis.
* Must be willing to be transported to work location by a variety of modes, including air, ground, boat, public, and private.
**Job Details:**
* On-going Calgary work, but also a willingness to travel for work.
*Work in remote locations for up to 14 days at a time, as required.
* Typical work days may be longer, 10-12 hours.
* Overtime is provided after 44 hours per week.
* Living Out Allowance (LOA) is paid weekly for time spent away from Calgary.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Blueprint Reading - Ability to understand technical drawings and welding symbols
* Process Competence - Knowledge of MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-cored techniques.
* Ability to use Plasma cutters, torch cutting, grinders, shear, hydraulic presses
* Ability to work alone or with co-workers. Team player
* Have the correct safety tickets (H2S, Fall Protection, MEWP, First Aid, CSTS, etc)
* Maintain an in-depth understanding and knowledge of site procedures.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
* Ability to work with team members in assembling structural metal projects, such as steel frameworks or beams, using welding techniques.
* Possess mechanical knowledge and a strong understanding of construction principles.
* Proficiency in operating a telehandler and forklift.
* Collaborate effectively with team members to keep work on schedule.
**Additional Responsibilities:**
*Comply with and enforce relevant codes to ensure safe operations
* Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
* Possess the correct PPE
* Enhance organizational reputation by taking ownership of new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
