Pleneo creates beautifully designed technology for modern meeting rooms and workplaces.
We believe B2B events don’t need to feel like B2B events.
We’re looking for a Creative Event Producer to help us turn everything from major international trade shows to intimate VIP dinners, product launches, roadshows and small partner activations into distinctive, memorable Pleneo experiences.
This is not a traditional event coordinator role.
We’re looking for someone who can take an event brief, develop a strong creative concept around it, work out how the space should look and flow, bring the right suppliers and designers together, and then make sure the finished experience is every bit as good as the original idea.
Previous experience working within an FMCG, consumer brand or consumer-focused creative/experiential agency environment is mandatory for this role.
We specifically want someone who understands how great consumer brands create experiences that feel original, polished, culturally relevant and memorable — and can bring that same thinking into Pleneo.
What You’ll Do
You’ll take creative and production ownership across a wide range of Pleneo events, including international trade shows, product launches, customer events, VIP dinners, roadshows, partner activations, tabletop exhibitions and smaller brand experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing a unique creative concept for each event or activation.
- Thinking through the full attendee experience — from the invitation and arrival through to the physical space, product interaction, hospitality and departure.
- Planning event layouts, visitor flow, product positioning, presentation areas, hospitality spaces and branded moments.
- Working closely with our design team to develop event graphics, signage, invitations, digital assets, menus, presentations and other supporting materials.
- Briefing and managing fabricators, production companies, AV suppliers, venues, caterers, furniture suppliers, entertainment providers and other event partners.
- Taking creative ideas through into real production — including sourcing, quotations, prototypes, fabrication, print and installation.
- Creating interesting ways to present Pleneo products instead of defaulting to conventional exhibition stands and product tables.
- Working with our marketing team to build excitement before an event through invitations, partner promotion, social content, teasers and campaigns.
- Developing ideas for entertainment, hospitality, gifting, food and drink, interactive experiences and other details that make an event memorable.
- Managing event budgets, schedules, production deadlines and supplier deliverables.
- Being on site for important events and ensuring the final execution matches the creative vision.
- Constantly looking for new venues, suppliers, concepts and ideas that could inspire future Pleneo experiences.
- Reviewing events afterwards and identifying what we should improve, repeat or completely rethink next time.
What We’re Looking For
Mandatory:
- Previous experience working in FMCG, consumer brands, or at a consumer-focused creative, experiential, activation or brand agency.
- Hands-on experience producing brand activations, experiential events, launches, pop-ups or similar consumer-facing experiences.
- A portfolio or examples of previous work that demonstrate strong creative thinking and execution.
You should also be:
- Highly creative, with strong visual and spatial instincts.
- Able to look at an empty room or exhibition space and immediately start imagining what it could become.
- Comfortable moving between very different types of events — from a 200-person launch party to a 20-person executive dinner.
- Extremely organised and capable of managing multiple suppliers and deadlines simultaneously.
- Commercially sensible and comfortable working within a budget.
- Confident sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations and negotiating production costs.
- Comfortable giving clear creative direction to designers, fabricators and external partners.
- Detail-oriented enough to notice when something is five centimetres out of place.
- Practical enough to solve problems when things inevitably change during production or installation.
- Able to work independently and take ownership rather than waiting for detailed instructions.
- Willing to travel internationally for key events.
Experience We Value
Strong backgrounds might include:
FMCG, beauty, fashion, automotive, hospitality, lifestyle, technology, beverage, retail, luxury, consumer electronics or experiential agencies working with major consumer brands.
Experience only in traditional B2B conferences, hotel events or corporate event administration is unlikely to be the right fit for this role.
What This Role Is Not
This is not primarily a registration, delegate-management or event administration role.
Of course, good production requires strong organisation, but the heart of this role is creative thinking and execution.
We want someone who can say:
“Here’s the idea. Here’s how the room should work. Here’s what we need to build. Here’s what the guests experience. Here’s who can produce it. And I’ll make sure it actually happens.”
About You
You care about the difference between something that simply works and something that people remember.
You probably notice lighting, furniture, music, signage, menus, packaging and small details other people ignore.
You enjoy creating experiences from scratch, but you’re equally happy dealing with spreadsheets, production schedules and suppliers to make them happen.
And you dislike boring events as much as we do.
