PSSC is looking for a Corporate Administrator to support the Finance & Corporate team with efficient administration, front desk management, and corporate office tasks. If you enjoy variety, thrive on multitasking, and like keeping things organised, this role offers an exciting opportunity to support a broad range of administration activities. This position is Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5pm based at 12 Park Lane, Timaru.
You will support front desk management, document preparation, database and spreadsheet maintenance, supplier administration, and corporate office support. The role also offers opportunities to broaden your skills by assisting with finance and accounts-related functions as part of a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage creditor and supplier administration, including supplier onboarding, invoice coding, verification, and maintaining accurate supplier records.
- Provide front desk and administrative support, ensuring professional reception services, efficient correspondence management, and effective communication across the organisation.
- Support counter sales activities, debtor administration, and reporting to the Accounts Receivable function.
- Develop competency in finance processes to provide short-term cover for designated accounts functions when required.
- Provide payroll and HR administration support, including payroll processing assistance and employee database maintenance.
- Actively contribute to Health & Safety initiatives, including mandatory training, incident reporting, and hazard identification activities.
- Participate in PSSC’s Quality Programme and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the Chief Executive Officer or Chief Financial Officer to support organisational objectives.

- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality work
Necessary qualifications and experience:
- Previous administration, reception, finance administration, accounts payable, or office support experience is desirable.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook is required; Publisher experience is beneficial.
- Experience working in a customer-facing or front-desk environment would be an advantage.
- An understanding of accounts payable, supplier records, payment documentation, debtor support, payroll administration or HR administration would be beneficial.
- A positive attitude, accuracy, reliability and willingness to undertake ongoing training are essential
