88Media is a family-owned creative marketing agency based in Calgary specializing in social media marketing, content creation, photography/videography, branding, events, and digital strategy. We help brands grow through purposeful content that not only looks great but actually drives results. Our work has generated millions of organic views across industries including hospitality, education, events, lifestyle, and business.

We’re looking for a highly creative and technically skilled Content Creator to join our team full-time. This role is for someone who genuinely understands both the art and strategy behind modern content creation. We’re not just looking for someone who can shoot pretty visuals - we want someone who understands storytelling, audience psychology, trends, pacing, hooks, and what makes people stop scrolling.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of social media platforms, short-form content trends, cinematic storytelling, and modern editing techniques while also having the technical skillset of a true videographer/photographer.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Shooting and editing short-form and long-form content
• Creating social-first videos optimized for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Eurostaffs, and Facebook
• Filming client projects on-site and in studio environments
• Capturing high-quality photo and video content using cameras, iPhones, lighting setups, and gimbals
• Editing cinematic and engaging content with strong pacing and storytelling
• Assisting with creative direction, shot planning, and content ideation
• Collaborating with the marketing team to create content that supports business growth and client goals
• Staying on top of trends, platform updates, editing styles, and viral content formats

Required Skills \& Experience

• Proficiency in:
• Final Cut Pro
• Adobe Lightroom
• Adobe Photoshop
• Camera operation and composition
• Indoor and outdoor lighting techniques
• iPhone content creation workflows
• Gimbal usage and movement
• Audio fundamentals for content creation
• Short-form and long-form storytelling
• Strong understanding of how social media platforms work and what performs well organically
• Ability to identify viral moments, engaging hooks, pacing, and audience retention techniques
• Strong creative instincts paired with a marketing mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience with Higgsfield AI
• Experience with Opus Clip
• Graphic Design
• Agency or contractor experience
• Drone experience
• Have already gone viral on your own platforms
