Construction Laborer

Join our dynamic team as a Construction Laborer/ Handyman. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial to residential remodels. Utilizing your hands-on skills and mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution.
• Perform heavy lifting and manual labor for tasks such as material cleanup, and equipment setup.
• Conduct renovation work such as carpentry, trim carpentry, framing.
• Assist with plastering, caulking, flooring installation, and other finishing trades to achieve polished results.
• Follow safety protocols diligently while working with scaffolding, heavy machinery, and during demolition or restoration projects.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects stay on schedule by efficiently completing assigned tasks.

Experience

• Prior construction site experience is highly preferred; familiarity with commercial or residential projects is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to operate power tools, heavy equipment, and basic hand tools confidently.
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes and reading blueprints or schematics accurately
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Basic mechanical knowledge relevant to construction equipment operation and maintenance is beneficial.

I own a very small construction company and do a lot of construction work and maintenance work for a friend here in Minneapolis. He and I are looking for one or two laborers to work on projects for him and myself. The job would require general construction and handyman knowledge. The ability to be able to work unsupervised and complete tasks assigned.

Because I am a one man company I unfortunately am not able to pay sick leave or PTO or cover medical insurance unfortunately.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
