Configuration/Deployment Specialist (.NET)
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Configuration/Deployment Specialist to join an ICT team supporting a major EU agency's enterprise systems. You'll work at the intersection of application deployment, environment management, and CI/CD automation for mission-critical ASP.NET applications, ensuring smooth, reliable releases across complex, regulated environments.
What you'll do
- Support the ICT team in application build, integration, and deployment — across backend systems and client devices (mobile and PC)
- Manage and configure system environments in coordination with the project team
- Support system testing and monitor application functioning and performance on a daily basis
- Report and coordinate the resolution of technical issues related to system environments
- Liaise with system vendors/contractors on technical matters on behalf of the ICT organization
- Support the deployment of development environments in Azure
- Automate application deployments and environment configuration updates
What we're looking for
Must-have experience:
- 8+ years of IT-relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in a similar deployment/configuration role
- Strong experience administering and troubleshooting ASP.NET applications hosted on Microsoft IIS
- Deep understanding of IIS configuration — application pools, websites, bindings, SSL certificates, and authentication mechanisms
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for ASP.NET applications, including mission-critical, complex enterprise systems
- Mandatory hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps
- Strong experience with Git-based workflows
- Knowledge of Active Directory integration, Group Policies, service accounts, and Windows security concepts
- Familiarity with RUP and/or Agile methodologies
- Working knowledge of application servers, build/deployment tools (e.g., Ant, Azure Pipelines), and RDBMS
Education & languages:
- Bachelor's degree in an ICT-relevant field
- English proficiency at CEFR level B2 or above

- Excellent communicator, comfortable in multi-lingual meetings
- Strong ability to work in an international, multicultural team environment
Work mode:
- Remote from EU (Travels to Poland foreseen)
