Configuration/Deployment Specialist (.NET)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Configuration/Deployment Specialist to join an ICT team supporting a major EU agency's enterprise systems. You'll work at the intersection of application deployment, environment management, and CI/CD automation for mission-critical ASP.NET applications, ensuring smooth, reliable releases across complex, regulated environments.

What you'll do

  • Support the ICT team in application build, integration, and deployment — across backend systems and client devices (mobile and PC)
  • Manage and configure system environments in coordination with the project team
  • Support system testing and monitor application functioning and performance on a daily basis
  • Report and coordinate the resolution of technical issues related to system environments
  • Liaise with system vendors/contractors on technical matters on behalf of the ICT organization
  • Support the deployment of development environments in Azure
  • Automate application deployments and environment configuration updates

What we're looking for

Must-have experience:

  • 8+ years of IT-relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in a similar deployment/configuration role
  • Strong experience administering and troubleshooting ASP.NET applications hosted on Microsoft IIS
  • Deep understanding of IIS configuration — application pools, websites, bindings, SSL certificates, and authentication mechanisms
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for ASP.NET applications, including mission-critical, complex enterprise systems
  • Mandatory hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps
  • Strong experience with Git-based workflows
  • Knowledge of Active Directory integration, Group Policies, service accounts, and Windows security concepts
  • Familiarity with RUP and/or Agile methodologies
  • Working knowledge of application servers, build/deployment tools (e.g., Ant, Azure Pipelines), and RDBMS

Education & languages:

  • Bachelor's degree in an ICT-relevant field
  • English proficiency at CEFR level B2 or above

Soft skills:

  • Excellent communicator, comfortable in multi-lingual meetings
  • Strong ability to work in an international, multicultural team environment

Work mode:

  • Remote from EU (Travels to Poland foreseen)
