Job Title: Commis Chef (Japanese)

Reporting To: Head Chef & Restaurant Manager
Location: Manama, Bahrain
Applicants must reside in Bahrain, possess relevant experience and skills, and answer all pre-screening questions to be considered for this role.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, following all recipe guidelines on ingredients, portion and presentation, performing routine food quality checks (taste, temperature, consistency, storage, labelling etc.), continuously learning and developing knowledge on recipes with new and/or existing culinary creations and resources, keeping up to date on menu changes and new items, and completing all daily/weekly operational duties.
Additional tasks involve attending and participating in regular training, training new staff, supporting inventory, food quality, and cost controls, as well as maintaining a cordial and cooperative team atmosphere for smooth operations and safeguarding all equipment and products of the restaurant, reporting any potential health and safety hazards.
Maintaining excellent grooming and personal hygiene is imperative, along with an attentive, polite and helpful attitude towards all customers and colleagues.
