Clinic Assistant / Phlebotomist
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Clinic Assistant or Phlebotomist to join our team. In this role, you will support clinical operations by assisting with patient care, performing blood draws, and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in the clinic by providing a welcoming environment, addressing questions, and preparing them for their procedures or consultations.
- Attend to phone calls, replying to patient inquiries via email and whatsapp.
- Accurately record patient information and maintain updated medical records in compliance with clinic policies and confidentiality standards.
- Coordinate appointments, manage front desk operations, handle patient registration, billing, and payments.
- Assist doctors in procedures such as chaperone, ecg, wound dressing, circumcision and other surgical procedures
- Perform blood draws, manage specimen labeling and handling, and prepare samples for laboratory testing in compliance with safety protocols.
- Ensure the availability of medical supplies and equipment, place orders as needed, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards as per clinic protocols, including maintaining cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and the clinic environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Phlebotomist or Clinic Assistant; previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Certification in Phlebotomy or related fields (if applicable).
- Knowledge of medical terminology, safety standards, and phlebotomy techniques.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection laws.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as required.
