CIVIL FOREMAN

Civil Foreman

a) Must have more than 5 years’ experience in civil works in the Petrochemical or Power

Generation industry.

b) Educational qualifications: OND or equivalent trade certificate (Industrial Training Institute

– ITI) in a relevant discipline or standard based qualification (NVQ level 3) or equivalent

Diploma in Engineering/Advanced Diploma. nb. May be required to undertake

Competency Based test witnessed by the COMPANY Discipline Engineer.

c) Must have a fairly good knowledge \& understanding of various process equipment.

d) Must be able to read, write and speak English and to be able to communicate with the

majority manpower in their language. CONTRACTOR to be able demonstrate to COMPANY.

e) Must be capable of supporting QA/QC and HSSE compliance audits, site procedures and

working instructions.

f) Must be able to interpret job requests, perform tests to confirm the problem and propose

repair methods without permanent supervision.

g) Must be able to work as leader with less experienced technicians.

h) Should be able to deputise for the Supervisor and act as Leader to less experienced

technicians.

i) Able to provide / demonstrate past experience from previous projects.

j) Must be able to communicate with the majority manpower in their language.

k) Ability to read and understand method statements, ITP documents, JHA, etc.

l) Ability to read isometric drawings, P\&ID/PEFS, and strictly adhere to COMPANY

specifications, method statements, QC procedures, and inspection test plans. They must

maintain daily reports and logs of daily activities.

m) Knowledge of various equipment used for the activities.
