Civil Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil/Project Engineer to join our team, a leading civil engineering firm based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka. This is a full-time (contract) position that will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of our civil construction projects.

What you'll be doing

• Responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects
• Able to understand detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
• Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities
• Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Handle tendering process and submission

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil/structural engineering projects
• Proficient in using engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD)
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
