1. General Summary

Supervise the laboratory tests for geosynthetics and geotechnical engineering testing, conduct calculations, analyses, and reports for the testing, and market the center to potential clients.

2. Functions \& Duties

• Manage and supervise the experiments and testing, and also manage and conduct research experiments for students and clients

• Conduct laboratory calculations, analyses, and reports

• Do the marketing and monitor the revenue for the center

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the director

3. Job Specification

• Knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA)
  • Knowledge in the operation of geosynthetics and geotechnical engineering tests is a must
  • Knowledge in the theory of geotechnical engineering and geosynthetics
  • Understanding of the laboratory test’s data plausibility
• Education and experience
  • Graduate with master’s degree or equivalent in Geotechnical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in geotechnical and geosynthetics laboratory testing

• Physical requirements and /or working conditions (if relevant)

  • Work for 40 hours per week 4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Revenue of the center

• Accuracy and quality of test statistics

5. Performance Standards

• Samples should be tested in accordance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), British Standard (BS), and International Standards (ISO)
• Complies laboratory test within deadlines assigned by clients
• Ensure the accuracy of the test data, calculations, and analyses
