Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service during their checkout experience
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process sales accurately and quickly
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with integrity
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock shelves, and support merchandising efforts
• Ensure proper phone etiquette when answering customer questions or directing calls

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery store environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and balancing registers accurately
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures required
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
