Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Nursing
Additional Requirements
  • Age at least 20 years

Responsibilities & Context

  • Administering daily medication and diet as prescribed by the doctor.
  • To monitor, record, and report on a patient's pulse, heart rate, temperature, blood sugar, respiration, and other vital signs.
  • In case of an emergency, accompany the patient to the hospital or to the doctor.
  • Bedside care of very ill and unconscious patients and the exercise of the patient, if required.
  • Administering food through a doctor/nurse-approved feeding tube, provide nebulization, oxygen, and insulin.
  • To provide first aid whenever necessary. Feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, etc., of the Patient.
  • Housekeeping, including house cleaning, laundry service, and assistance with patient mobility.
  • Lifting the Patient in bed/wheelchair/car.
  • Provide companionship to the patients and entertain his / her requirements. Always help the patient to keep in touch with relatives and friends.
  • To provide supervision and companionship to patients with special needs.
