Job Description

Role OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhoot our growth in the food products trading sector. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding our market footprint across three critical verticals: Wholesale, Retail, and HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, & Catering). The ideal candidate possesses deep industry relationships, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a proven track record of scaling food sales pipelines.

Key ResponsibilitiesWholesale & Distribution

  • Identify and secure new large-scale distributors, wholesalers, and bulk buyers.
  • Negotiate high-volume supply contracts, commercial terms, and pricing structures.
  • Coordinate with logistics to ensure smooth delivery of bulk trading volumes.

Retail Network Expansion

  • Pitch and secure product listings with supermarkets, hypermarkets, and retail chains.
  • Negotiate optimal shelf placement and brand visibility with category managers.
  • Plan targeted trade marketing and promotional campaigns to drive product sell-through.

HORECA Partnership Management

  • Build relationships with executive chefs, procurement heads, and F&B directors.
  • Position our product portfolio as premium ingredient solutions for commercial kitchens.
  • Tailor sales offers, packaging requirements, and supply schedules to suit culinary clients.

Strategy & Operations

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify fresh revenue streams.
  • Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volumes to prevent stockouts.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with local food safety and labeling regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of sales or business development experience specifically within food products trading / FMCG in Bahrain.
  • Network: An existing, strong network of contacts within regional retail chains, wholesalers, or major HORECA buyers.
  • Skills: Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and strategic contract closing abilities.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of food logistics, cold-chain management, and regional food safety regulations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Mobility: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently to meet clients.
