We are growing our Business Development team and seeking someone who genuinely cares about the challenges facing healthcare professionals and who can show them, clearly and compellingly, how Xestro makes their working lives better.
Xestro is a healthcare technology platform built around a simple belief: that the people caring for patients deserve tools that work as hard as they do. We are Australia’s largest practice management and clinical records platform for private medical specialists, handling everything a specialist practice runs on: appointments, billing, clinical records, referral management, prescribing, and reporting. We are based in Maroochydore, growing fast, and our growth has been driven not by slick marketing, but by the genuine impact our platform delivers for the clinicians and administrators who use it every day.
This is not a role for someone who measures success by the number of calls made in a day. For most specialist practices, adopting new practice management software is one of the most consequential decisions they will ever make, touching every clinician, every staff member, and every patient interaction. The right person here measures success by the relationships they build and the genuine value they create.
You will lead discovery conversations to understand what matters most to each prospect, and demonstrate how Xestro supports both their clinical and operational goals. You will also represent Xestro at a curated selection of medical conferences, connecting with healthcare professionals in their own space.
You will be part of a small, tight-knit team: a Sales and Growth Lead and two other BDMs. Knowledge and approach are shared, not hoarded. You will start with a structured induction alongside our support team so that you know the platform in genuine depth before you ever sit in front of a prospect.

Background in healthcare:
A background in healthcare is important, but it does not have to be software. Practice management, pharmaceutical sales, medical devices, dental, allied health, or any role that has given you genuine exposure to how specialist practices and healthcare businesses operate will be well regarded. What matters is that you already understand the world our customers work in.
We are not looking for:
You are patient, methodical, and authoritative: not because of persuasion technique, but because you know the product and the environment inside out. You are comfortable with a sales cycle that spans months, because you understand the weight of the decision on the other side of the table.

We ask questions, we listen, and we only demonstrate our platform in the context of what actually matters to that practice. Our customers do not feel sold to. They feel understood.
