Role: Business AnalystRequirements and responsibilitiesThis role owns business analysis and requirements definition for a major platform modernization program for a Japanese customer.The Business Analyst is customer-side facing, embedded in Japan, and acts as the voice of the business—translating customer needs into clear, structured, testable requirements for the deliveryorganization.What You’ll Do Clear, complete, and unambiguous business requirementsHigh-quality user stories with acceptance criteriaMinimal rework due to misunderstood requirementsSmooth UAT and business sign-offStrong trust relationship with Japanese stakeholdersBusiness Analysis & RequirementsElicit and document business requirements directly from customer stakeholders· Create epics, user stories, and acceptance criteriaFunctional and non-functional requirementsMaintain bilingual requirements documentation (Japanese/English)Clarify business rules, edge cases, and constraintsStakeholder Engagement (Japan-Based)Act as primary interface with customer business and IT stakeholdersFacilitate workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs in JapaneseSupport consensus building and decision alignmentManage requirement clarification cyclesRequirements Lifecycle & UATMaintain traceability from requirements → development → testing → acceptanceSupport UAT planning and executionValidate delivered functionality against business intentSupport sign-off and acceptance documentationCollaboration with DeliveryHand over clean, implementation-ready requirements to the delivery teamRespond to clarification questions during developmentSupport change impact analysis when scope evolvesWork closely with the Technical Project Manager (but does not manage delivery) What You’ll BringNative or fluent Japanese (JLPT N1 preferred)Business-level English (B2+)5–8+ year's experience as Business Analyst· Strong experience in enterprise software projectsExcellent written documentation skills (Japanese & English)
