Responsibilities

About the team

The Budget and Cost Optimisation (BCO) team sits within the Budget Supply Governance (BSG) team and is responsible for Global T\&S Ops long-term cost decision frameworks, BPO Budget for Content Moderation, and OPEX Optimisation strategies for both In House and BPOs. The team ensures comprehensive financial management for T\&S operations and enhances efficiency through cost impact analysis and governance.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Budget and Cost Optimization team, you will support the management of the annual budget for our BPO workforce across Trust \& Safety (T\&S) Operations. Working alongside experienced team members, you will help with budget setting, monitoring budget adherence, and the timely \& accurate submission of PJs \& PRs. You will contribute to the development of T\&S Ops cost-related metrics, support target setting, and assist in initiatives to evolve and improve governance and processes. You will help generate data-driven insights that inform decisions of cross-functional partners and contribute to better cost optimizations and workforce allocations. You will also partner with key cross-functional teams to continuously improve cost management processes, including leveraging AI tools to enhance analysis, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Specifically, you will support a global team responsible for:

  • Partnering with the BPO planning team to help build annual and quarterly budget PJ/PRs for BPO Content Moderation, ensuring consistency with actual spending.
  • Conducting analysis of budget projections and helping present findings and insights to management for review.
  • Analyzing spending across operational areas to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement, including evaluating the impact of AI and automation on workforce planning and cost structures.
  • Supporting collaboration with the Procurement and Commercial \& Contract teams on BPO pricing discussions, linking these to actual spending to improve pricing and budget accuracy.
  • Assisting the procurement team with new language requests from B\&W stakeholders, including preparing context for RFQs and analyzing collected quotations to support business decisions.
  • Helping prepare cost analysis and insights that support decision-making and budget planning across both outsourcing and in-house operations.
  • Applying AI-powered tools and techniques (e.g., LLMs, automation workflows) to streamline data gathering, reporting, and recurring analytical tasks.
  • Building subject matter expertise on budget and cost topics to support teammates and XFNs as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in finance, business analysis, operations, FP\&A, consulting, or a related analytical field.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed within the last 3 years.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large datasets; proficiency in Excel Sheets and a willingness to learn additional tools (SQL, BI platforms, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) and a clear interest in applying AI to improve analytical workflows, reporting, and decision support.
  • Demonstrated care for data integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to translate analysis into clear takeaways for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Curiosity, intellectual rigor, and a self-starter mindset — comfortable navigating ambiguity and asking questions in a global, matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Workforce Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Coursework, internship, or project experience involving budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, or operations.
  • Exposure to SQL, Python, BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker), or Data Visualization in general.
  • Hands-on experience with AI concepts, prompt engineering, or building automations using AI tools and APIs: OpenClaw, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.
  • Vibe-coding experience
  • Interest in or exposure to Trust \& Safety, content moderation, or large-scale operations.
  • Experience collaborating across cultures, time zones, or in cross-functional teams.
