Korean-English Medical Interpreter

Medilinkers LLC is looking to hire Korean and English speakers for a remote interpreter position. As a Korean consecutive medical interpreter, your primary responsibility is to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and Korean-speaking patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation for medical conversations, diagnoses, treatments, and healthcare-related information.
• Facilitate clear communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and follow professional interpretation standards.
• Provide cultural mediation when needed.
• Keep up to date with medical terminology and healthcare practices.
• Accurately document interpretation services when required.

Requirements:

• Fluency in Korean and English.
• Previous experience in medical interpretation or translation.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Technical Requirements:

• Minimum 15 Mbps internet connection.
• PC/laptop with at least 8GB RAM and 5th-generation processor or higher.
• Reliable LAN/Ethernet connection.
• USB headset.
• HD webcam.
• Quiet and professional workspace suitable for confidential conversations.

Work Details:

• Remote position.
• Interpretation through OPI (audio) and VRI (video).
• Hourly-based shifts.
• EST time zone.
• Independent Contractor position.
• Mandatory training and assessment required before onboarding.
