The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Welcome each guest personally using enthusiastic words, tone, and body language always
Make guests feel appreciated
Work as a team with all personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service
Work with others to keep all areas always clean and stocked to the company’s standards
Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of the bar and dining room following standard recipes and drink specs.
Input drink orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests for drinks served and make change
Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display
Wash and sterilize stemware
Follow all the guidelines for alcohol safety and sanitation.
Set up, stock, and break down the bar before and after your scheduled shift.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management.
Count drinks guests are served and track open bar tabs
Anticipate guests’ needs and follow the half-full rule when offering another drink; remain alert of guests’ signals (raising a hand, looking directly at you, etc.), and acknowledge signals
Learns guests’ names, occupations, and favorite drinks
Responsibly serve alcohol and remain aware of guests’ state of intoxication
Work well under pressure with a positive, patient attitude
Perform other duties as assigned

A Bartender should possess the following Qualifications \& Experience:

Must be 21 years old
At least 12 months bartending experience in a full-service restaurant
Ability to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better
Basic mathematical skills and an ability to handle money and give correct change
Possess knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and familiarity with standard drink recipes
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must be multi-task oriented
Possess knowledge of company’s food and beverage specifications and workplace safety procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, continuously bend, reach and twist
