Job Description

Position Summary:

The Banquet Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Majlis, ensuring exceptional hospitality and seamless guest experiences for VIPs, dignitaries, and high-profile visitors. This role requires a high level of cultural awareness, discretion, and attention to detail to uphold the traditions and prestige associated with the Majlis environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience \& Hospitality

  • Ensure all guests are welcomed and attended to with the highest standards of courtesy and protocol.
  • Manage daily operations of the Majlis, including seating arrangements, refreshments, and service flow.
  • Coordinate with catering, housekeeping, and security teams to ensure readiness and smooth execution of gatherings.
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service to VIPs and dignitaries.

Operations \& Coordination

  • Oversee scheduling, reservations, and events taking place in the Majlis.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies (refreshments, décor, uniforms, etc.) and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Supervise Majlis staff, including servers, ushers, and attendants, ensuring grooming and conduct standards are maintained.
  • Liaise with protocol offices, executive assistants, and external parties for special visits or delegations.

Protocol \& Cultural Standards

  • Ensure all cultural, royal, and organizational protocols are observed during meetings and receptions.
  • Brief team members on proper etiquette, guest hierarchy, and confidentiality.
  • Manage the presentation of Arabic coffee, dates, and traditional hospitality rituals appropriately.

Administration \& Reporting

  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on Majlis usage, events, and feedback.
  • Handle budgets for supplies, refreshments, and staffing.
  • Support planning and execution of high-level events, ceremonies, and delegations.

Qualifications \& Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in VIP guest relations, hospitality, or protocol services.
  • Strong understanding of Arabic and GCC cultural customs and traditions.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor; ability to maintain confidentiality.
