Job Purpose
Responsible for the inspection, preservation, protection, and proper storage of equipment, spare parts, materials, and assets to prevent corrosion, deterioration, contamination, and damage during storage and prior to use.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, spare parts, materials, and storage areas.
- Identify corrosion, rust, moisture, contamination, physical damage, and other deterioration.
- Perform preservation activities including cleaning, drying, lubrication, coating, wrapping, sealing, and protective covering.
- Ensure equipment and materials are stored correctly and protected from dust, moisture, heat, sunlight, and other environmental conditions.
- Monitor temperature, humidity, ventilation, cleanliness, and storage conditions.
- Maintain preservation schedules and ensure inspections and re-preservation activities are completed on time.
- Maintain preservation tags, checklists, asset registers, and inspection records.
- Monitor the condition and expiry dates of preservation chemicals, lubricants, coatings, and other consumables.
- Report damaged, missing, expired, or improperly stored materials to the Supervisor.
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Maintenance, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and Project teams.
- Support warehouse/site inspections, stock verification, audits, and asset condition surveys.
- Prepare daily/weekly preservation reports and ensure accurate documentation.
- Follow company/client procedures, HSE requirements, PPE requirements, and safe chemical-handling practices.
- Maintain good housekeeping in preservation, warehouse, workshop, and storage areas.
- Perform any other duties related to preservation and asset protection assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications \& Experience
- Technical Diploma/ITI or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in equipment preservation, maintenance, warehouse, oil \& gas, construction, or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of corrosion protection, lubrication, coatings, storage, and preservation methods.
- Basic MS Office/Excel skills; SAP/ERP knowledge is an advantage.

- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.
- Ability to work in warehouse, yard, workshop, and site environments.
