We are looking for a bio-minded technical specialist to take ownership of our microbiology and product development function — someone ready to move beyond the bench and put applied science to work across formulation, quality, field research, and key accounts.
You will coordinate, supervise, and work closely with our microbiology laboratory and agronomy team, setting the technical direction for our NPK and bio-product lines and translating lab and field results into products that perform on real plantations — starting with oil palm, and extending into other cash crops as our research capability grows.
The role carries commercial weight alongside the science: you will hold key account responsibility for major customers in Sabah and Sarawak, including tender-based accounts, with regular travel across Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asia region to stay close to the customers and plantations you serve.
What You'll Do:
- Take ownership of solving applied biological challenges in the field, developing practical biosolutions that strengthen our NPK and bio-product lines.
- Own quality control and product development for our NPK and bio-product lines, working closely with R\&D on formulation, trials, and efficacy validation.
- Coordinate microbiology laboratory operations, from strain work and culture maintenance to testing and batch release, keeping our product claims backed by solid data.
- Coordinate, supervise, and work with a combined team of laboratory personnel and agronomists, directing field trials and presenting findings to senior management.
- Hold and grow key accounts in Sabah and Sarawak, representing the company on tenders and in direct client relationships, including with Mandarin-speaking customers.
- Deliver technical and product presentations to clients, support sales with training and on-field demonstrations, and represent the company at industry events.
- Keep our products compliant and properly registered as the business grows into new markets.
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related biological science, with genuine applied experience in agriculture; oil palm exposure is essential, and experience with other cash crops is a strong advantage.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, including time spent supervising or coordinating a technical team of comparable size.
- Strong leadership qualities and a natural team player, with good communication skills that work at every level — from lab technicians and field teams to senior management and clients.
- A genuine, strong passion for biosolutions and applied biological science — this needs to be a real driver, not just a qualification on paper.
- Fluency in Mandarin, spoken and written, to support our Malaysia \& oversea accounts.
- Someone equally comfortable in the lab, in the field, and in front of a client — and willing to travel across Malaysia and the region to do it.
- A valid driver's license.
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
