Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Warehouse Administrator to oversee and coordinate warehouse operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing inventory, streamlining processes, and ensuring efficient logistics flow within our supply chain. Duties
- Manage category inventory levels and optimise stock organisation through effective category management.
- Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including AS400, to track inventory, process orders, and generate reports.
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch of goods.
- Coordinate transportation management systems (TMS) to optimise delivery schedules and routes.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline supply chain operations.
- Analyse data related to warehouse performance, supply chain metrics, and materials handling to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Supervise materials handling activities, including picking \& packing, using forklift trucks where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, order processing, and inventory levels.
- Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs within warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse administration or logistics management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400, and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Familiarity with category management, process optimisation, and supply chain principles.
- Experience working with 3PL providers, shipping \& receiving procedures, and materials handling equipment including forklifts.
- Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information for decision-making purposes.
- Proficient in using warehouse technology such as RFID, barcode scanners, and related software tools.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant forklift certification is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates. Pay: Up to £32,000.00 per year
