Yard Operative

Corby Rock Mill is recruiting a Yard Worker to join our busy feed mill team.

If you’re reliable, practical, hardworking and ready to get stuck in, this could be the role for you.

You’ll play an important part in keeping our feed mill running smoothly — from loading bulk animal feed and operating machinery to preparing products for dispatch and keeping the yard safe, clean and organised.

Full training will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operating machinery, loading equipment and forklifts.
• Loading bulk animal feed into lorries using automated loading systems.
• Positioning vehicles correctly and monitoring the loading process.
• Checking products, vehicle compartments and quantities to ensure everything is loaded correctly.
• Filling and loading bulk bags.
• Operating bagger machine, labelling, sealing and palletising small bags of feed.
• Preparing pallets and products for customer delivery.
• Checking incoming materials.
• Keeping the yard and loading areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Carrying out basic equipment checks and reporting faults.
• Following all quality, health \& safety and PPE procedures.
• Moving materials, rotating stock and keeping storage areas organised.
• Completing loading records and paperwork.
• Working closely with colleagues and lorry drivers to keep the operation moving.

Experience in a yard, warehouse, production environment is an advantage.

Full on-the-job training will be provided.

Hours \& Pay

Monday to Friday
8:30am – 5:00pm
38.75 hours per week
