About the Role:
We are looking to connect with a freelance videographer based in Winnipeg for ongoing, project-based work.
Expectations:
- Shoot content specifically for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Reels)
- Understand short-form video pacing, hooks, and framing
- Capture content that feels natural, human, and engaging
- Work efficiently on-site with brand ambassadors
Responsibilities:
- Film short-form video content on location for various clients
- Follow creative direction, shot lists, and content strategy
- Capture a variety of angles, formats, and sequences for editing flexibility
- Collaborate with team members including strategists, creators, and brand leads
- Ensure footage is optimized for social formats
Requirements:
- Based in or near Winnipeg, Ontario
- Own professional video equipment
- Access to a vehicle and ability to travel locally to shoots
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, on-site environments
- Able to accommodate shoots with approximately 1–2 weeks’ notice
- Strong understanding of social media content (not just traditional video)
Nice to Have:
- Experience shooting for brands, businesses, or social media campaigns
- Familiarity with current social media trends and formats
- Ability to direct basic movement or guide subjects during filming
Compensation:
- Project-based / per-shoot compensation (varies by scope)
- Paid per agreed project rate
