As a Welding Engineer _ Manufacturing Senior Specialist (Welding Technology) you will be responsible for

  • A strategic technical role responsible for driving continuous improvement, implementing automated welding technologies, and optimizing production efficiency.
  • Develop robust welding procedures, ensure compliance with international codes, internal and customers’ specifications.
  • Design and implement advanced welding processes (e.g., TIG, Tip TIG, SAW, etc…) to meet strict manufacturing specifications.
  • Lead the evaluation, integration, and programming of automated welding systems to enhance production capability.
  • Establish optimal welding sequences to minimize or control material distortion in critical structural components.
  • Troubleshoot structural and welding assembly issues on the shop floor.
  • Investigation welding defects, conduct RCA and CAPA for production welding failure.
  • Technical support for in-house and vendor Pipe welding and fabrication activities/materials for the Critical Sub-Sea production and Connection System product lines and MS-Seal TIN-Inlay processes with utmost integrity, safety and quality.

Fuel your Passion

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science or Welding Engineering.
  • More than 10 years working experience in Oil Field Materials, Oil and Gas equipment manufacturing, NDT, PWHT and Quality control processes.
  • Knowledgeable in Pipe welding and fabrication welding practises per International codes and standard requirements such as ASME Sections, API, NACE and DNV etc…
  • Understand related material and welding industry codes such as ASME, NACE, API 17D, API 6A, AWS etc…
  • Strong knowledge and experience in CRA material welding, CRA cladded Pipe welding, procedure development and Tin-indium inlay processes.
  • Understand Automatic welding processes, lean manufacturing setup and able to lead productivity and yield improvements.
  • Processes effective communication and presentation skills, Pro-active \& self-driven to solutions, analytical skills in manufacturing environment and good interpersonal skills with able to work with cross functional Teams.
