Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication processes, with a strong understanding of construction and manufacturing standards. This role involves working with various materials and tools to produce high-quality components in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should possess a solid mechanical knowledge and be comfortable reading schematics and blueprints to ensure precise fabrication according to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding on diverse materials including sheet metal and various grade steel.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes.
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure precision in dimensions and tolerances.
  • Fabricate components for manufacturing projects, or asphalt paver repairs.
  • Utilize rigging and crane operations for moving heavy materials or assemblies safely.
  • Perform pipe threading, machining, soldering, and assembly tasks as required by project specifications.
  • Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG,) with the ability to work with sheet metal and various grades of steel.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, forklifts (preferred), and machining equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Experience with rigging, crane operation, pipe threading, soldering, and assembly is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
