Welder Engineer - Gisborne Port

We’re looking for a skilled Welder Engineer for our Gisborne port operation. In this hands-on role, you’ll carry out fabrication, maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of heavy off-road machinery including loaders, material handlers, and terminal tractors.

Location: Gisborne Port

Status: Full-time, Mon-Fri working 7am to 4pm

Specific Responsibilities: * Carry out welding, fabrication, and repairs on heavy machinery and port equipment * Monitor and replace worn attachments and components * Provide technical input to improve component quality and longevity * Maintain a safe work environment and report incidents promptly

Who we're after: * Relevant NZQA Level 4 trade qualification in Heavy Fabrication [or overseas equivalent] * Proven experience working on heavy vehicles and machinery. * Able to work independently and as part of a small team. * Bring a positive, can-do attitude to the role.
