Day Shift Warehouse Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and hardworking Day Shift Warehouse Supervisor to join our friendly and successful team on a permanent basis.

We are a specialist Warehousing \& Distribution company based in Totton, Southampton.

This role would suit someone with solid warehouse experience, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop. Flexibility is essential, as overtime will be required during busy periods. Previous warehouse experience is essential and a validForklift Licence is preffered.

As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for delegating tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of goods receiving, storage, and distribution processes. You will ensure all activities are completed accurately and in accordance with HMRC regulations.

A key focus of the role is overseeing high-value goods and ensuring 100% accuracy checks are completed at the dispatch stage of the supply chain. Attention to detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction are vital.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising a team of approximately 15 employees to maximise performance, allocate workloads, resolve issues, and manage low-level people matters.
• Working closely with the Warehouse Operations Supervisors across early and late shifts to maintain an efficient and safe warehouse operation.
• Ensuring the warehouse premises always remain secure.
• Following and enforcing all company security procedures.
• Supervising Health \& Safety standards for both staff and warehouse operations.
• Overseeing all goods inwards and outwards processes accurately and efficiently.
• Supervising vehicle loading operations.
• Maintaining and adhering to thorough checking procedures.
• Acting as a key holder for the site.
• Providing cover for other Supervisor roles during periods of absence.
• Carrying out any other associated duties as required.

Working Hours

• 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30
• Includes paid breaks and one unpaid lunch break
• Weekend work required on a rota basis to support cruise ship deliveries; Saturday and/or Sunday: 06:00 – 10:00

Salary

• £33,280 per annum
• Enhanced overtime rates available depending on shift/day worked
