Test Strategy \& Planning * Define the overall test strategy (manual, automation, performance, security, UAT and required other type of test). * Create and maintain the Test Plan, including scope, timelines, resources, tools, and risks. * Decide test entry/exit criteria and quality gates.
Test Execution \& Control * Ensure test cases are designed, reviewed, and executed effectively. * Monitor testing progress against plan and adjust as needed. * Ensure defect lifecycle is followed correctly (logging, triage, retesting, closure).
Defect \& Risk Management * Facilitate defect triage meetings with development and stakeholders. * Assess quality risks and communicate their impact clearly. * Ensure high-severity defects are resolved or mitigated before release.
Stakeholder \& Cross-Team Communication * Act as the primary point of contact for testing. * Communicate testing status, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders * Assist management for go/no-go release decisions with providing the analysis.
Test Metrics \& Reporting * Define and track key quality metrics such as test coverage, defect density, defect leakage, test execution progress and produce regular test status reports and dashboards.
