The Opportunity

We're looking for a friendly, confident and professional Viewing Agent to represent MOV8 and our clients at residential property viewings across Edinburgh and the surrounding area.

For many potential buyers, you will be one of the first people from MOV8 they meet face-to-face. You'll therefore play an important role in creating a great first impression, showcasing our clients' properties and making sure every prospective buyer receives a welcoming, informative and professional experience.

This is a field-based, part-time contractor opportunity that offers flexibility around your other commitments. It would suit someone who enjoys meeting new people, is comfortable working independently and has a genuine interest in property and delivering excellent customer service.

You'll be part of our successful Property Sales team, working closely with colleagues to help our clients achieve the best possible outcome from their property sale.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Viewing Agent, you'll be trusted to represent both MOV8 and our clients when meeting prospective buyers at their properties.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Meeting prospective buyers at residential properties across Edinburgh and the surrounding area.
• Conducting engaging, professional and welcoming property viewings.
• Familiarising yourself with each property so that you can confidently highlight its key features and benefits.
• Answering general questions from prospective buyers and ensuring any queries requiring further information are passed to the appropriate MOV8 team.
• Building rapport with prospective buyers and delivering an excellent customer experience from the moment they arrive.
• Obtaining useful and constructive feedback following viewings and accurately reporting this back to the Property Sales team.
• Identifying potential opportunities where prospective buyers may also require estate agency or other MOV8 services and passing these leads to the appropriate team.
• Working towards agreed lead-generation and service targets.
• Completing all required post-viewing administration accurately and promptly.
• Collecting and returning property keys and ensuring these are securely and accurately logged.
• Carrying out inspections of vacant properties when required, including obtaining meter readings.
• Collecting or delivering keys to third-party solicitors, estate agents or other relevant parties when required.
• Supporting the wider Property Sales team with other reasonable field-based activities.

What We're Looking For

You don't necessarily need previous estate agency experience. What's more important is that you're personable, dependable and genuinely enjoy dealing with people.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a customer-facing or customer service environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence speaking with members of the public and building rapport quickly.
• A professional and personable manner, with an understanding that you are representing both MOV8 and our clients.
• A proactive approach and the confidence to identify potential sales and lead-generation opportunities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively.
• Reliability and excellent timekeeping.
• Confidence using technology to access property information and complete administration while working remotely.
• A willingness to learn and continually improve.
• A genuine interest in property and the Edinburgh market.

As this is a field-based role involving travel between properties, you will need to be able to travel reliably throughout Edinburgh and the surrounding area.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time contractor opportunity with flexibility around working hours.

Property viewings take place when prospective buyers are available, so we are particularly interested in people who can offer evening availability and at least one day at the weekend.

The exact working pattern and level of availability can be discussed as part of the recruitment process.
