Job Description

About the Role

Pet Lover Club is seeking a Veterinary Services Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and service quality of our veterinary and pet-care activities. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership and organizational skills with a solid understanding of veterinary services and animal welfare.

This role will be responsible for coordinating veterinary staff, maintaining efficient clinic operations, supporting high standards of animal care, managing client relationships, and ensuring that procedures, records, supplies, and facilities are properly maintained.

Veterinary practice management commonly combines staff leadership, client service, medical-record oversight, inventory, budgeting, purchasing, and operational management, so this position is designed as both a people-management and veterinary-services leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily veterinary service operations and coordinate staff schedules.
  • Supervise veterinary professionals, technicians, assistants, and administrative personnel.
  • Support veterinarians in maintaining high standards of animal care and client service.
  • Ensure veterinary records and operational documentation are accurate and properly maintained.
  • Monitor inventory of medicines, medical supplies, equipment, and pet-care products.
  • Coordinate procurement and maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and assist with recruitment and training.
  • Handle client inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally.
  • Coordinate appointments and ensure smooth communication between clients and veterinary staff.
  • Monitor operating expenses and assist with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the facility, equipment, and work areas meet appropriate hygiene, safety, and animal-welfare standards.
  • Keep management informed of operational issues, service performance, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with applicable Kuwait requirements and professional veterinary standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a closely related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in veterinary practice, animal healthcare, clinic administration, or veterinary practice management.
  • Previous experience supervising or managing a team is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of veterinary clinic operations, animal welfare, medical terminology, and client-service practices.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a busy veterinary environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with veterinary practice-management or electronic medical-record systems.
  • Good written and spoken English; Arabic communication skills would be an advantage in Kuwait.
  • Ability to work professionally with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, support staff, pet owners, and suppliers.
  • Commitment to ethical animal care, confidentiality, workplace safety, and professional standards.

These qualifications are consistent with current veterinary practice-management expectations, where management education, veterinary/clinical experience, staff leadership, financial and inventory management, client communication, and operational knowledge are commonly emphasized.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or formal training in veterinary practice management.
  • Experience managing a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, pet-care center, or similar facility.
  • Knowledge of veterinary quality-control and infection-prevention procedures.
  • Experience with budgeting, purchasing, inventory control, and performance reporting.
  • Familiarity with Kuwait's regulatory environment for veterinary and animal-care services.
  • Professional veterinary-management certification such as Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) is an advantage, although it should not be treated as mandatory. The CVPM pathway itself recognizes substantial practice-management experience, management education, and continuing education as relevant preparation.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a compassionate, organized, and confident leader who can balance the business and operational requirements of the organization with the welfare of the animals in our care. The ideal candidate will be comfortable making decisions, leading a diverse team, communicating with pet owners, and continuously improving the quality and efficiency of veterinary services.
