About the Role

We're looking for a compassionate, hands-on Veterinary Pet Handler / Assistant to join our Expanding clinical team. You'll work closely with our veterinarians to provide excellent patient care, confidently handle dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments, and help ensure a smooth, safe experience for every pet and owner who walks through our doors.

What You'll Do

• Safely handle and restrain animals during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Assist veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
• Prepare patients for exams, diagnostics, and surgery
• Monitor hospitalized patients and flag any changes to the vet promptly
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Keep exam rooms, kennels, surgical areas, and equipment clean and disinfected
• Support lab sample collection and diagnostic work
• Help with grooming, bathing, and general patient care
• Drive the company car for pet transport and home visits
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with inventory
• Uphold high standards of hygiene, animal welfare, and clinic safety
• Deliver warm, professional service to pet owners

What You Bring

• Proven experience in a UAE veterinary clinic or hospital (required)
• Valid UAE Driving License (required)
• Confidence and skill handling dogs, cats, and other companion animals
• Solid understanding of veterinary assisting, patient care, and restraint techniques
• Composure under pressure in a fast-paced setting
• Strong English communication skills (Arabic a plus)
• Physical fitness — able to lift and restrain animals safely
• A collaborative spirit and genuine love for animal welfare
• Own visa or employment visa (company-sponsored) accepted

Nice to Have

• Veterinary Assistant certification or veterinary nursing education
• Experience assisting with surgery and anesthesia monitoring
• Familiarity with lab equipment and diagnostic procedures
