Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess health status and diagnose medical conditions using veterinary terminology and clinical skills.
- Perform surgical procedures, including animal restraint, animal catheterization, and aseptic techniques to ensure safe and effective treatments.
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments tailored to each animal’s specific needs based on animal physiology and anatomy knowledge.
- Assist with laboratory tests and interpret results to support accurate diagnoses; maintain detailed records of findings.
- Provide pet grooming, animal husbandry, and pet care advice to owners, emphasizing proper animal handling and overall well-being.
- Handle emergency situations involving critical care animals, utilizing veterinary critical care experience to stabilize patients promptly.
- Educate pet owners on animal care best practices, including pet grooming, nutrition, and behavioral guidance.
Qualifications
- Proven veterinary experience with a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy.
- Experience in veterinary critical care is highly desirable; familiarity with laboratory procedures is a plus.
- Skilled in animal restraint techniques, dog handling, and general animal husbandry practices.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques for surgical procedures and laboratory work.
- Ability to handle diverse animals confidently, including equine experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills for educating clients about pet care and treatment plans.

Pay: $108,211.51 - $135,000.00 per year
