Job Description

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Livestock in Veterinary Science, Diploma in Livestock in Animal Husbandry
Experience
  • At least 2 years
Additional Requirements

Minimum 2 Years Experience in relevant work.

Responsibilities & Context

Animal Care & Treatment

  • Ensure the vet’s prescription for animal treatment.Assist during any kind of treatments and surgeries.
  • Perform vaccinations, deworming, and mass medication as required.
  • Identify sick, problematic, or in-heat animals and report to the vet.
  • Record all treatments and enter data into the software.

Routine Tasks

  • Perform hoof trimming, wool shearing, and cow insemination.
  • Check each shed of all animal (cows, bulls, camels, sheep) 3 times daily.
  • Ensure regular 3-4 times stripping of cows showing signs of mastitis.
  • Collaboration & Management Work with the Head of Operations (HOO) to ensure livestock well-being.
  • Assist in planning, breeding, feeding, and waste management.Coordinate with vets and ensure health programs are implemented.
  • Record keeping & Reporting Maintain a database of livestock and submit it daily.
  • Assist in monthly Report livestock health twice daily.
  • Send own daily task report through assigned whatsapp Group.
  • Team Coordination Train and motivate the livestock team.
  • Collaborate with other teams and follow company communication protocols.    

General Responsibilities

  • Assist in cattle births and semen injections, natural breeding
  • Follow instructions from the Head of Operations.
  • Prepare second-line team members and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Assist with monthly report by the 5th of each month.
