Truck Driver

We are running Rubbish and Waste removal business where our trucks run over day shifts. We are also an accredited employer with Immigration of New Zealand. We are now looking for committed and hardworking Truck Drivers - Class 2 and 4.

A successful candidate will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours work per week at $ 29.00 per hour (this is minimum and maximum rate at the commencement of the employment which will be reviewed every year) rostered over 5 days, including weekends and public holidays (if required).

The employee shall be responsible for the diligent and faithful performance of the following duties:

Perform assigned driving responsibilities.

Accurately complete all documentation related to bin emptying records.

Maintain the vehicle in a clean and orderly condition and undertake minor maintenance tasks as necessary.

Comply with standard reporting procedures associated with the delivery of bins and addressing instances of missing bins.

Conduct daily vehicle inspections (including checks of oil, water, fuel, air pressure, safety features, equipment security, road user charge licence, hubodometer readings, etc.) and promptly inform the employer of any required maintenance or road user charge updates.

Carry out additional duties as may be reasonably requested by the employer.

To be suitable for this role you must:

You must hold a clean and valid Class 2 and 4 driver’s licence. An overseas licence will also be considered ( as the employer as two trucks, one of class 2 and another of class 4 – hence a license is needed which allows to drive both class)

This role is physically demanding, as it involves handling heavy commercial bins, so you must be fit and able to manage manual tasks.

You should always prioritise health and safety for yourself and those around you.

Maintaining a professional attitude and safe driving behaviour on the road is essential.

Flexibility to work on weekends when needed is required.
