About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Trading Manager to establish, develop, and lead our Sanitary Ware \& Hardware Trading Division in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the business from the ground up, identifying profitable product opportunities, securing manufacturers and suppliers, establishing distribution channels, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
This is a business-building role focused on creating value for the company through strategic trading activities, supplier partnerships, market expansion, product portfolio development, and profitable growth. The ideal candidate must possess strong industry knowledge, an established supplier network, and hands-on experience in sanitary ware and hardware trading—not procurement or purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and develop the Sanitary Ware \& Hardware Trading Division from inception to market leadership.
- Identify profitable products, brands, manufacturers, and trading opportunities within the sanitary ware and hardware sectors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with international manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and trading partners.
- Secure agency agreements, distributorships, exclusive partnerships, and supplier arrangements.
- Develop import, export, wholesale, retail, and distribution strategies.
- Build and expand dealer networks, project sales channels, retail partnerships, and customer relationships.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion.
- Develop product portfolios covering sanitary ware, bathroom solutions, plumbing materials, hardware products, tools, fittings, accessories, and related building materials.
- Identify project opportunities with contractors, consultants, developers, retailers, and government entities.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, supplier contracts, and trading terms.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, pricing studies, and business forecasting.
- Develop business plans, growth strategies, sales forecasts, and market expansion initiatives.
- Lead commercial activities and support the development of the trading team.
- Report business performance, opportunities, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Sanitary Ware, Hardware Products, Building Materials Trading, Distribution, Import \& Export, or Commercial Management.
- Proven track record in establishing, developing, and growing a sanitary ware or hardware trading business.
- Strong knowledge of sanitary ware products, bathroom solutions, plumbing materials, fittings, valves, hardware products, tools, and related construction materials.
- Demonstrated ability to generate revenue, secure strategic partnerships, and build profitable trading operations.
- Existing network of manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, retailers, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Strong experience in international sourcing, supplier development, agency agreements, and distributorship management.
- Strong understanding of import/export regulations, logistics, supply chains, and commercial trading activities.
- Proven ability to identify market opportunities and launch successful product lines.
- Strong commercial, financial, analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and scale a business division.
- GCC market experience is highly preferred.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
