JOB DESCRIPTION

• Define, own, and continuously refine the overall test strategy, test plan, and quality assurance framework for the client programme covering functional, integration, system, regression, performance, security, and UAT testing
• Build, lead, and manage a distributed testing team of onshore and offshore Test Leads, Senior Test Engineers, and the Performance Test Lead, ensuring clear ownership of module-level test coverage
• Establish and govern the test automation framework and TestOps CI/CD integration, ensuring automated regression suites are built incrementally from Sprint 1 onwards
• Define and enforce phase-gate quality exit criteria across Discovery, Build, Parallel Run, and Go-Live phases
• Coordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with client business stakeholders including test scenario workshops, UAT environment management, tester onboarding, and formal sign-off facilitation
• Own the defect management lifecycle including defect triage, severity classification, resolution SLA tracking, and root cause analysis for critical defects
• Produce and present regular test status reports, quality dashboards, and defect trend analysis to the Programme Manager and steering committee
• Coordinate performance testing activities with the Performance Test Lead, reviewing NFR compliance and stress test outcomes
• Ensure security testing findings from the Security Engineer are tracked, prioritised, and resolved prior to each phase gate
• Manage test environments in coordination with the Infrastructure Lead
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tooling, and automation coverage throughout the programme lifecycle
• Oversee the preparation of test evidence packs and quality assurance sign-off documentation for programme audits and regulatory compliance

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of software testing experience with at least 4 years in a Test Manager role overseeing end-to-end QA for large enterprise IT programmes
• ISTQB Test Manager certification (Advanced Level) is required
• Proven experience managing distributed onshore and offshore testing teams across multiple modules and technology stacks
• Hands-on experience with TestOps practices including integration of test automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency in test management tools such as Zephyr, Xray, TestRail, or equivalent
• Strong experience coordinating UAT with non-technical business stakeholders including test script preparation, tester enablement, and sign-off facilitation
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, or k6) and understanding of NFR-based test design
• Knowledge of security testing principles and OWASP testing methodologies
• Solid understanding of web, mobile, and API testing techniques
• Experience testing CRM, Billing, or customer-facing enterprise applications at scale is strongly preferred
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to escalate risks proactively
