Technical Project Manager – Odoo ERP & AI Automation

About the Position

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with strong Odoo ERP expertise and hands-on AI adoption experience to lead strategic business systems initiatives across GW Products.

This is not a traditional project management role.

You will own the planning, execution, and successful delivery of Odoo ERP implementations, enhancements, integrations, and AI-driven business transformation projects while managing internal development teams, business stakeholders, and cross-functional initiatives.

The ideal candidate understands both business operations and technology, can configure Odoo modules when required, and is comfortable leading projects involving AI tools, automation platforms, and modern LLM-powered workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Odoo ERP Leadership

• Lead end-to-end Odoo implementation and optimization projects across Sales, CRM, Inventory, Purchase, Accounting, HR, Warehouse, and Operations.
• Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into clear functional specifications and user stories.
• Configure Odoo modules and workflows where appropriate.
• Drive UAT, process validation, go-live readiness, and post-launch adoption.
• Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency improvements.

Project \& Program Management

• Own project scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and business initiatives.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder communication.
• Coordinate a distributed team of Odoo developers, AI engineers, QA specialists, and business users.
• Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks, and project governance processes.

AI \& Business Automation

• Collaborate with AI and engineering teams to deploy AI-powered workflows and automation solutions.
• Lead initiatives involving LLMs, AI agents, workflow automation, and intelligent business processes.
• Evaluate business use cases for AI adoption and prioritize implementation opportunities.
• Partner with technical teams to ensure successful integration of AI capabilities within Odoo and related systems.
• Drive user adoption and change management for AI-enabled processes.

Team Leadership

• Manage and coordinate an internal team of Odoo developers and technical contributors.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Mentor team members on project execution best practices and delivery standards.

Requirements

Must Have:

• 4–8 years of experience in Odoo ERP project management, implementation, or consulting.
• Delivered at least 3 full-cycle Odoo implementations from discovery through go-live.
• Strong functional expertise across: Sales, CRM, Inventory, Purchase, Accounting, HR
• Hands-on Odoo configuration experience.
• Experience managing internal development teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Agile project delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools in professional environments.
• Experience leading or participating in AI, automation, LLM, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work with significant overlap to UAE business hours.

Strongly Preferred

• Odoo.sh experience.
• Experience working with AI agents, RAG systems, OpenAI, Anthropic, or workflow automation platforms.
• Product Owner or Business Systems leadership experience.
• PMP, Scrum Master, Prince2, or equivalent certifications.
• Odoo Certification.
• Experience in distribution, logistics, supply chain, marketplaces, wholesale, or ERP-driven organizations.
