Who we're looking for
Nottingham College Art Department is seeking an enthusiastic technician to work within our creative faculty. This pivotal role ensures our students have access to exceptional workshops, specialist equipment, and safe working environments.
We are looking for someone who may specialise in the following areas;
We would welcome interest from those who are proficient in using digital software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and 3D design and printing software.
The role(s) will include being responsible for workshop spaces within the specialism(s) including ordering materials, managing servicing of machinery, health and safety and/or preparing and delivering workshops and inductions to small groups of students across levels.
The role(s) are also likely to involve elements of manual handling and physical work relating to end of year show preparations, external exhibitions and live projects locally. A level of physical capability and practical skills are important within these role(s) specifically those working in Ceramics, Textiles, and General Art and Design specialisms.
This role has potential to be up to 0.8 FTE, however we can accommodate a split of part-time role(s) if this is preferred.
