As a Team Lead Logistics Process Operations, you will coordinate and lead a dedicated team of logistics professionals, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently but you also do transport orders like your team members. At our Competence Center in Bucharest, a typical day for a team leader is both challenging and rewarding.

You will start your day by setting clear goals and priorities for your team, providing guidance and support to ensure everyone is aligned and motivated. Regular meetings and check-ins will help you monitor progress, address any issues, and celebrate successes.

Collaboration is essential as you work closely with other departments and Siemens Energy locations to synchronize logistics schedules and resolve any challenges. You'll also oversee the creation and management of essential shipping documents, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Beyond day-to-day operations, you will actively foster the growth and development of your team members through regular coaching, feedback sessions, and individual development plans. You will support talent development, encourage knowledge sharing, and help build future logistics capabilities within the Competence Center. Creating a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture will be a key part of your leadership responsibility.

A key part of your role is to drive our digitization initiative. You'll lead your team in adopting new digital tools and methods, ensuring a smooth transition and continuous improvement and to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

By the end of the day, you'll review the team's accomplishments and plan for the next day's activities. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a positive and productive work environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of logistics professionals by providing regular coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Ordering of Transports based on defined dates, preferred carriers and transportation contracts, and coordination of dispatch activities based on defined logistics concepts.
  • Preparation of complete set of documents for transport ordering and customs declaration, observing specifics for dangerous goods transport where necessary, as well as preparation of documents (Intrastat) for statistics administration.
  • Clarification of documents with all involved internal and external business partners and arrangement of goods pickup at supplier with all transport modes.
  • Performance of order to invoice verification for 3PL services, providing information to all relevant parties on transport details and current status.
  • Supporting process optimization, holding carrier liable and clarifying discrepancies (damages, delays etc.).

What You Bring

  • Bachelor in a business field (supply chain, logistics or similar) or education with relevant work experience alternatively and e.g Forwarding Agent/Manager
  • Profound experience in Transportation Management covering all modes (air, sea, ground, processing, transport ordering and monitoring, project logistics)
  • Experience in managing Logistics Services is already gained by ensuring accurate, on time and economical delivery services to suit customer needs and/or meet internal project requirements
  • High analytical ability, customer & solution orientation as well as your social competence, assertiveness and a high organizational & team ability are further elements of your set of skills
  • Above average communication skills to stay informed, to collaborate and to distribute all relevant information to internal & external business partners e.g. internal and external suppliers, project management, logistics service providers
  • Excellent communication skills throughout all levels in the organization in English (spoken and written). Profound MS Office skills (Excel, Teams Word etc.), and basic knowledge in SAP.
