Teaching Internship – Primary School Subjects

Job Description

ATOP Academy is seeking Teaching Interns to support the delivery of Primary School English, Chinese, Mathematics and Science programmes based on the Singapore MOE Primary School syllabus.

This internship provides an opportunity for students, undergraduates and fresh graduates who are interested in education to gain practical teaching experience in a commercial school environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons for Primary School students in one or more assigned subjects: English, Chinese, Mathematics or Science.
• Support lessons that are aligned with the Singapore MOE Primary School syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Explain concepts clearly and provide appropriate guidance according to students' learning needs and abilities.
• Mark assignments and exercises, monitor students' progress, and provide timely and constructive feedback.
• Assist students in strengthening their subject knowledge, learning skills and examination preparation.
• Help maintain a positive, supportive and disciplined learning environment.
• Assist in preparing worksheets, lesson notes, revision materials, assessment questions and examination-practice activities.
• Participate in training, lesson preparation and other education-related activities as assigned.
• Uphold ATOP Academy's teaching standards, professional values and commitment to academic excellence.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or have completed a GCE A-Level, Diploma, Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of at least one of the following subjects: English, Chinese, Mathematics or Science.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• An interest in teaching, education and working with primary school students.
• Patient, responsible and able to communicate effectively with younger learners.
• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE Primary School syllabus and assessment requirements is an advantage.
• Prior teaching, tutoring, mentoring or education-related experience is an advantage but is not required.
• Students, undergraduates and fresh graduates seeking practical teaching experience are welcome to apply.

Pay: $800.00 - $1,500.00 per month
