Teacher (m/f/d) or Assistant teacher (m/f/d)

The International House for Kids is looking for a english-speaking educator or childcare worker (m/f/d) for our nursery in Nederlingerstraße, Munich. We are looking for a full-time position (40 hours/week).

Who we are.

For 13 years, our family business has stood for high-quality, international education at three locations in beautiful Nymphenburg, Munich. As an innovative and cosmopolitan institution, we accompany children from 6 months up to the transition to secondary school and offer a modern, bilingual (German/English) concept based on the Bavarian educational standards.

Our nursery consists of two groups with 12 children per group. Each group is supported by a dedicated team, with a total of three pedagogical professionals working closely together.

Your tasks

• Caring for and supporting a group of 12 children aged approximately 6 months to 3 years
• Supporting the children in their individual development and learning processes
• Planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities
• Supporting the children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development
• Supporting the children in developing independence and everyday skills
• Careful observation and pedagogical documentation of the children's development
• Supporting daily routines such as meals, personal care, rest and sleep
• Creating a warm, safe and stimulating environment for the children
• Close cooperation with parents and regular communication about the children's development and daily experiences
• Close cooperation within the pedagogical team and participation in regular team meetings
• Supporting and accompanying children during their settling-in period

What we are looking for

• Completed training or studies as an educator, childcare worker, social pedagogue, teacher or similar qualification
• German language skills at C1/C2 level
• Basic knowledge of English
• Experience or a strong interest in working with children under the age of three
• Passion for educational work with young children
• A warm, responsible and reliable approach to children
• Confidence and sensitivity in communicating with children and their parents
• Ability to work cooperatively and responsibly within a team
