Systems Engineer Lead

Camp Arifjan, Kuwait

Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree (Will accept Associate’s and 4 additional years of experience or High School Diploma with 8 additional years of experience); RHCE, VCP6, and NCDA

Years of Experience: 5+ years’ experience with IT in a strategic DoD environment

Clearance Level \& Investigation: Secret

IA Cert Level (DoD 8570.01): IAT III

Computing Environment Certifications: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) with Virtual Certifications (VCP6) or NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)

The Systems Engineer Lead is responsible for providing support for administration of Microsoft (MS) Server-based systems to include, but not limited to, communications applications, IA server and client software systems, electronic mail, printing services, software license administration, file sharing and storage services, backup services, and other related systems. They work in concert with network engineering and infrastructure technical support activities to correct issues with ISs at multiple locations within CENTCOM AOR.

Qualifications:

The Systems Engineer Lead must maintain the following minimum qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a strategic DoD position engineering I.T. solutions for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and CPN-X (or other Coalition network environments).
• DoD 8570.01 M compliance for IAT Level III with a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) with the following Virtual Certifications (VCP6), or NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA).
• Requires proficiency and experience with the following technology areas and systems:
  • IP Port Security
  • IP Networking
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Data Storage
  • Network Appliance Data Storage Filers
  • Near Store Appliance
  • SnapMirror, SnapRestore, SnapManager for Exchange
  • Virtual File Manager
  • AUDS
  • Cloud Services
  • Must have a secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree required – may substitute additional years of experience in lieu of advanced degree
  • Additional 4 years of experience with Associate’s Degree
  • Additional 8 years of experience with High School Diploma

Responsibilities:

• Provide operational support and server administration involving performance of component server and workstation connections, configuration, integration, and testing.
