About the Role

Knology Systems is hiring a Systems Administrator to maintain, configure, and secure our core IT infrastructure, servers, and network systems in Oman.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain servers (Windows/Linux), active directory, and cloud storage systems.
• Network & Security: Monitor system performance, manage firewalls, apply security patches, and perform regular data backups.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve escalated hardware, software, and network issues to minimize system downtime.
• User Support: Manage user accounts, permissions, and system access rights across departments.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of IT inventory, system configurations, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in system administration or IT support.
• Certifications: MCSE, CCNA, or AWS/Azure certifications are highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of OS administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), LAN/WAN networking, and system security.
• Languages: Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
