Supervise daily workshop operations, ensuring efficient utilization of manpower, tools, equipment, and resources to deliver high standards of productivity, quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and achievement of operational KPIs and turnaround time (TAT) targets.
Assist the Garage Manager in implementing operational improvements and ensuring the efficient functioning of garage activities.
Oversee daily section operations by optimizing manpower and workshop resources, assigning work to technicians, and ensuring productivity, quality, and timely vehicle delivery.
Oversee maintenance of equipment and tools; take corrective and preventive action as and when required.
Inspect customer vehicles to identify damage, abnormal noise, or mechanical faults, and provide technical guidance to technicians on repair and maintenance requirements.
Monitor workshop activities through regular inspections and random quality checks, identify operational issues, and ensure compliance with established work procedures and service standards.
Collaborate with Al-Sayer Group garages for warranty and technical information for vehicles.
Coordinate with Service Advisors to obtain customer approvals for additional repairs, communicate repair findings, and recommend replacement vehicles when extended repairs are required.
Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports, investigate delays, and provide timely updates and recommendations to the Garage Head.
Recommend cost-control initiatives to optimize vehicle maintenance and garage operating expenses.
Liaise with Warehouse staff to maintain stock/order new parts/purchase consumables for garage daily requirements.
Ensure all vehicle repairs are accurately diagnosed, completed to manufacturer standards, and pass quality inspection before delivery.
Ensure compliance with HSE, ISO, and company safety requirements.
Maintain workshop cleanliness and 5S standards, and promptly report and follow up on safety hazards and equipment deficiencies. Minimum Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in automotive workshop operations, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, preventive maintenance, and workshop best practices.
Team supervision: Proven experience managing technicians, allocating work, monitoring productivity, and ensuring repair quality.
Operational knowledge: Good understanding of customer service standards, workshop KPIs, and operational efficiency.
Systems proficiency: Experience using dealer management systems (DMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
Work environment: Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
