BasementRemodeling.com is a remodeling company serving homeowners across the DMV area. We specialize in high-quality basement remodels. This summer, we're looking for a motivated intern who wants hands-on experience in residential design and the remodeling business.

About the Role

As our Summer Design \& Remodeling Intern, you'll work alongside our Senior designer and project teams to support active Basement remodeling projects from concept through completion. This is a great opportunity for a student or early-career candidate to build real-world skills in design software, client presentation, and construction workflows.

What You'll Do

• Create and refine 3D renderings, floor plans, and elevations for wet-bar and bathroom projects using Chief Architect Home Designer
• Assist the Senior designer in developing layouts, selecting finishes, and preparing client-facing presentations
• Help maintain project files, material selections, and specifications
• Support measurements, site visits, and documentation in the field as needed
• Coordinate with team members on timelines and project updates

What We're Looking For

• PowerPoint knowledge required
• Working familiarity with Chief Architect Home Designer (or strong willingness to learn quickly)
• Interest in or knowledge of kitchen, wet-bar, and bathroom design and remodeling
• A good eye for layout, finishes, and detail
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable, professional, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/program in interior design or architecture.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional site visits (preferred)
• Detail-Oriented: Able to read dimensions and calculate quantities needed accurately, place/track purchase orders, meet project deadlines, and work with outside vendors
• Multitasking: The ability to juggle multiple project timelines and multiple outside vendors
• Sample Library Management: Keeping the showroom's physical inventory organized and updated, help with creating a digital library
