Student Guidance Support Officer _JUYING SECONDARY SCHOOL

Job Responsibilities

Provide immediate support during student management and safety incidents.

De-escalate student conflicts and behavioral issues.

Assist teachers in managing student behavior and peer-relationship concerns.

Conduct fact-finding and investigations into misconduct and bullying cases.

Implement appropriate disciplinary and corrective actions in accordance with school policies.

Conduct home visits and neighborhood patrols where required.

Supervise students under Student Development Programmers.

Engage parents/guardians on preventive and restorative interventions.

Work with external agencies such as the Singapore Police Force, MSF and Family Service Centers when necessary.

Monitor disciplinary trends and recommend proactive student development initiatives.

Conduct interviews, review CCTV footage and document case findings.

Maintain accurate student intervention records and update the school intranet.

Provide administrative and operational support to the Student Development Team.

Requirements

Qualifications

Diploma or higher qualification preferred.

Qualifications/certification in Counselling, Educational Psychology, Social Work, Social \& Emotional Learning or related fields preferred.

Experience

Minimum

3 years of relevant experience

in youth engagement, preferably in a school environment.

Experience managing students with social-emotional issues and/or learning difficulties.
