Elance Steel Fabricating Co Ltd is an established, full-service structural steel fabricator serving Western Canada since 1979. We provide design, fabrication, and installation services under one roof, with a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and team collaboration.

Role Overview

We are currently hiring Structural Steel Fabricators at all skill levels including apprentices, journey persons, pre-employment steel fabricators, and individuals with equivalent trade experience.

This is a shop-based fabrication position. In this role, you will lay out, fit, weld, and assemble structural steel components according to blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.

Requirements

· Heavy structural steel fabrication experience is an asset

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and weld symbols

· Experieince with MIG, FCAW, or SMAW welding processes is an asset

· Minimum CWB Flat ticket is preferred. Current CWB certification is an asset; testing would be available after hire.

· Operate overhead cranes and various power tools and machinery such as press brake machines, saws, and drills

·WHMIS and/or other relevant certificates are considered assets

· Reliable transportation is required, as the location is not transit-accessible

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift and carry materials as required

· Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and working on your feet for extended periods.

· Comfortable working in a fabrication shop environment

· Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
